Saturday, August 5 - Offsite Adoption Event. 12:00 - 3:00 pm at Petco. Petco is where the pets go...and where the pets go home! Come meet your new best friend. 366 Kroger Way, Versailles.

Monday, August 7 - Deadline for Silent Auction item pick-up! If you won an item in the Summer Gala Silent Auction, please make arrangements to pick it up at our Adoption Center by August 7. Refunds will not be issued for unclaimed items.

Tuesday, August 15 - Volunteer Orientation. 6:30 - 8:00 pm at the Adoption Center. Learn about all the ways you can help the animals, and meet our pets and staff. Email Nicole to sign up.

Sunday, September 24 - Book Signing with Randi Lynn Mrvos. 2:00 - 4:00 pm at Joseph-Beth Booksellers. Meet the author of brand new childrens' book, "Maggie and the Summer Vacation Show-and-Tell"! This book tells the story of a little girl and the rescue dog that changes her life. We'll bring adoptable pets, and there will be treats for pets and people alike. 161 Lexington Green Circle, Lexingon.

Saturday, October 7 - Offsite Adoption Event. 12:00 - 3:00 pm at John's New Classic Shoes. Whether you're running the Iron Horse or prefer a casual walk, John's has the shoes for you...and we have the pet to go with 'em! Come find a new best friend. 316 South Ashland Ave, Lexington.

Sunday, October 15 - Iron Horse Half Marathon & 12K, presented by John's Run/Walk Shop and Saul Good Restaurant & Pub. This beautiful course that runs through Midway's town and countryside has made the Iron Horse a top destination race - and it's right here in our backyard! Partial proceeds benefit Woodford Humane. Sunday, October 22 - Canine Olympics! 12:00 - 5:00 pm at Falling Springs Park. Calling all cute, goofy, talented, and/or athletic pups! Compete for medals in more than a dozen events, while your humans browse the Olympic Village vendors, bid in the silent auction, and more. Free to attend; entry fee to compete. Registration opens at noon; blessing of the animals at 12:30 pm; games begin at 1:00 pm. Learn more!
